Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh
There’s something about Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting that I love. Maybe it was the fact that there was a recreation done by students in my high school, or that in grade 8 Humanities we analyzed Don McLean’s song “Vincent” as part of our poetry unit…
Who knows, maybe the sky is all swirled up like that and no one sees it because we’re not looking hard enough. As a Communication student whenever I explain what I do and what I write about to my friends ,they’re always amazed. They’ve either never considered things like that, or seen those minute details, or compared this to that… Starry Night reminds me of what life is like when you look beyond.
Of course the story of Vincent Van Gogh’s life is tragic yet captivating in itself too.
I found a 1000 piece puzzle of Starry Night and I think I’m going to put it together when I’m done this semester… Do some brain training.
